Release notes
- In the editor, ⌘⌥U (Ctrl+Alt+U on Windows and Linux) jumps to the next sentence that still needs a source, and ⌘⌥R steps through citations of sources that have been retracted or flagged.
- Every export format now tells you, in one message when the export finishes, what it had to leave out, and it names any citations that were still placeholders.
- On the free plan, the Radar preview now uses the newest source you've saved, so the sample you see is about your own work.
- You can now protect your account with two-factor sign-in. Turn it on under Account, Security: scan the code with an authenticator app, and save the recovery codes Folio shows you once. They are your way back in if you lose your phone.
- In the editor, ⌘⌥] and ⌘⌥[ (Ctrl+Alt on Windows and Linux) jump to the next and previous citation in your manuscript, wrapping around at the ends.
- After you add a source from inside the editor, the "Added" message now has a "Cite at cursor" button. One click puts the citation where your cursor is. Nothing is inserted unless you click, and it only appears when you're editing a document you can write in.
- If a figure can't be put into your PDF or blog export, Folio now tells you which one when the export finishes, the same way it already does for Word.
- When you reach your plan's limit for claim checks, Folio stops checking as you type instead of retrying in the background. Checks resume once you're back under the limit.
- If your survey link has had no responses after three days, Folio emails you once with a ready-to-post message and your share link, so you know it's time to share it again.
- When you open your own live survey link and submit it to see how it works, Folio now keeps that answer out of your results and tells you so. Use your test link to try the survey.
