Release notes

    • Institutions without a live SIS connection can now sync their roster by uploading a standard OneRoster CSV bundle — students, courses, sections, terms and enrollments. Folio previews every change before committing it, skips and logs anything that conflicts (like a record marked completed, dropped, or on leave) instead of overwriting it, and a row missing from the file never deletes existing Folio data.
    • "Write up these results" turns a finished Surveyor study into the start of your paper: it creates a manuscript draft pre-filled with the study's context, its measures, and the number of complete responses, so a Results section starts from the actual data instead of a blank page.
    • Librarians can now embed a no-login citation formatter in a LibGuide: pick a style, name your library, paste the snippet, and students can find and copy a verified citation without leaving the guide or creating a Folio account.
    • The forest-plot generator now works on a phone, and stops silently dropping studies it can't plot — a row missing a positive bound in Ratio mode, or one that never reached the figure at all, now says exactly why instead of just showing a smaller study count with no explanation.
    • A journal's page now shows validated scales relevant to its field, matched from the journal's own subject areas — a journal with no clear match gets no scales shown, rather than a generic list.
    • PRISMA, forest-plot, and CONSORT diagram tools now live inside the editor: type "/" and search "PRISMA", "Forest", or "CONSORT" to build one without leaving your draft. A figure made this way now carries the draft's own id on its certificate, so the record of where it came from is complete.
    • Institutions can now require a transcript before a recorded class session releases to students. Teaching staff can still preview the recording while the transcript is being generated, and students see a clear note that it's on its way rather than a broken link.

    • A course's public catalog page is now indexable with full course details and one call to action to enroll, and a completion certificate can be added to a LinkedIn profile or issued as an Open Badges credential.
    • Every document exported from Folio — and now every figure or dataset's integrity certificate too — carries a real digital signature. Fetch Folio's public key once, from a fixed address, and confirm entirely offline, with no request to Folio, that a specific file is one Folio actually issued. An unsigned older file is expected, not a red flag — it just predates this.
    • An instructor grading a submission can now attach an external integrity report — a Turnitin similarity or AI-writing percentage, linked to the original — alongside Folio's own authorship record. It's clearly labeled as a check Folio didn't run and doesn't vouch for, shown for context only, never as a verdict.
