Folio Search
One search across every source. Then a mind that reads it.
Type a topic, thesis, or half-formed question. Folio fans it across academic databases, the open web, books and lectures at once. Results stream in live, and the Synthesizer thinks through them as they arrive, handing you the sources that matter.
Search: 40 a day on Scholar, unlimited on Fellow and Chair. The Synthesizer: Fellow and Chair.Every plan, compared
Eight indexes, fanned out in parallel: Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, Crossref, arXiv, Europe PMC and DOAJ for papers, plus books, the open web and lectures. No scraped Google Scholar, because that is not a source anyone can promise honestly.

The questions that decide it.
Short answers, in the product’s own terms.
Two ways. It runs every source at once and streams them in live, so the whole landscape is visible immediately. And the Synthesizer does not just list results; it reads across them and says where to start and why.
No, and that is the point. It can only cite the sources Folio actually retrieved, referenced by number, so every source it names is a real result you can open. It also says plainly when the literature is thin rather than padding.
Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, Crossref, arXiv, Europe PMC and DOAJ for papers; Google Books and Open Library for books; plus the open web and YouTube for talks and lectures. Folio does not list a source it cannot search honestly, so there is no scraped Google Scholar.
They save to your library, auto-embedded for semantic search, and a selection can be bundled into a new literature-review document, seeded with a synthesis matrix and real citation chips.
The search itself is free: fan a query across every source, follow the citation graph, and save what you find. The Synthesizer, the grounded mind that reads across the results, is part of the Fellow and Chair plans.
