Questions
Why is standalone priced publicly but the others aren’t?
Standalone and extracurricular programs tend to be a similar shape and size, so we can publish one honest number. Schools, districts and universities vary enormously in scale and what they need to migrate, so those are quoted per institution — no per-seat maths, still scaled to your size.
What does “up to ~100 active students” mean on the standalone plan?
It’s a soft guide, not a hard meter that locks you out. If you grow past it we’ll move you to the right band or a simple per-institution quote — we’ll never cut off your students mid-term.
Is there a free way to try it?
Yes. Instructors can use Folio Classroom for individual courses at no cost, and we can stand up a pilot subdomain for your department so you can evaluate the full institution experience before you commit.
Do you offer invoicing and purchase orders?
Yes. Institutional agreements are handled directly, on invoice, with the terms your procurement process needs.
What about students who already use Folio?
Their personal account and their institution membership are one identity in two contexts. Nothing they’ve written personally is exposed to the institution, and vice versa.
